There are spooradic reports of this at the FN Forum ( www.fnforum.net ) - It seems not everyone has this issue - and those that do, it seems to stop after a few hundred rounds and not get any worse.
I was reading a discussion about the fnp40s getting dinges under the "p" on The slide from the take Down lever. The topic was from about mid '07 tho. Does anyone know if this issue has been adressed by fnh yet? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

I have an FNP40 DASA and have never had that issue with it. My biggest problem with the handgun is the cost of additional magazines and their rarity. I use gunclipdepot.com for most of my mag purchases and they are expensive there as well. On the plus side it has the sweetest DA pull of any I have ever handled out of the box. SA breaks very sweetly as well.
I've some very small marks there that I would not have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. But after thousands of rounds, I have polished areas on the (satin stainless) slide from holster wear that are much worse.
