I'm having the same delimna except it's between a d/s 220R carry n-sights, a SAO 220R carry n-sights beavertail, and an FNP-45. I was quite impressed with it.. It's a big ole beast of a gun. Three 14 rd mags included. Slide feels like a big chunk of steel. Felt great even with double-stack .45 mag. You can tell the gun was meant as a military/L.E. gun .. or socom trial gun as I've read. So being a sig fan, I'm considering it just for something different if the FN is all that and a bucket of chicken. Plus $150 less than either of the consignment Sigs, and this was a N.I.B. FNP-45. You can see this development ontop of the Sig section in here.

I bought my FNP because it was $50 less than other 9mm pistols I was looking at, and it had the solid FN reputation. I could not possibly be happier. I don't keep a written record of rounds fired, but it must be up to about 1,200 or 1,300 so far with a perfect record of reliability. I've even tried to get it to FTE or FTF by limp-wristing with no luck. I didn't get around to cleaning it after my previous trip to the range, so it is up to about 700 rounds since its last cleaning. No problems.

I have heard there was some kind of trigger weight problem on early FNP9s (2005 or so), but that these were fixed under warranty and newer buyers like me haven't had reported issues. If the 45 is like the 9, it will be all that and a barrel of chicken.
