    FNP9 For IDPA

    Im looking for a medium to full frame 9mm to shoot IDPA and I've read some good things about the FNP 9(its in my top 5 pistols that Im looking at). This would be solely a competition weapon and not for CCW. I want it to to very reliable and have a modular trigger so I can get a trigger job on it and be able to put some form of aftermarket sights on it.

    If you like your FN's, sell me on it.

    What form of competition?

    A longer barrel might be better.

    Primarily IDPA so a long barrel wouldn't hurt. How many lengths do they offer?

    The FN catalog I have only lists one length which is 4" for the FNP 40 or FNP 9. The FNP 45 is 4.5 "

    You would need a different gun to obtain a longer barrel.

    I would buy something with a 5" barrel for strictly competition.

    Ok I take you point on the barrel length.

    How would you rank the reliability if I can find an ammo the weapon likes? Barring shooter caused jams (stovepipes) of course.
