Ohio Lawmakers Introduce Constitutional Carry Bill

Two Republican legislators propose eliminating the license required to carry a concealed handgun in Ohio, a change one describes as an effort to put Second Amendment rights on the same footing as others in the Bill of Rights.

The bill, introduced Wednesday by Reps. Ron Hood of Ashville and Matt Lynch of Bainbridge Township in Geauga County, would allow any person who is at least 21 years old to carry a concealed firearm, so long as they are not legally prohibited for some reason from having guns.

I see and agree with where the legislators are coming from .
You gotta admit that some people aren't ready or should not be carrying a firearm.

I agree, but on the other hand, a law will not stop all of those that should not carry a gun from carrying one. Personally, I think you should be able to carry in every state, as long as you are permitted and have proven that you can handle the weapon properly. Heck, even when I was in the Marines, you had to "prove" yourself on the range at least once a year.

Open carry of a hand gun on foot is legal in Ohio as long as you can legally own the weapon and are not in a place that serves alcohol. Being able to conceal it and have a loaded weapon in a car without a permit is not that big of a jump.
