I see no difference between veterans and non-veterans in terms of their fundamental rights as protected by the Bill of Rights and would be just as incensed if either group were denied their rights without due process.
Ya kinda on the same page as you guys. Keep hearing it like a friend of a friend got a letter etc.
A veteran with a concern needs to contact Senator Coburn from Oklahoma, that's his forte concerning fighting for veterans rights and the 2nd amendment. Go to his website and see what he has done for veterans and unless he's changed his ways he would be the one to contact.
I'm sure this is the same story I read yesterday at another forum, been happening a while but it's back in the light.Vets are still under the thumb of Uncle Sam if they want to continue getting their well deserved benefits, but you can bet your ass they will be screwed with.My father in law sued and won a boatload under a full mental case (but he can still vote?) and loves OBozo, but when this kind of stuff comes up he calls BS.The problem is is he was career for life, those that don't get that high a position get less benefits and more runaround. In one sentance he'll say that but doesn't acknowledge the crap that goes on to those below him.I've yet to ask him if he idolizes Hitler and Stallin too,but being a posterboy for Libs I wouldn't doubt it.
I'm sorry, does any vet actually believe the our government and the VA really have the best interests of Vets in mind? It is the cruelest joke played on anyone that is seriously injured while protecting their country.
The young men and women that serve are only useful to the service and the country while they are capable of carrying out their duties. Once those duties have damaged the individual to the point they are no longer an asset, they are merely discarded in the same manner we discard a worn-out pair of shoes.
I know several that have returned and are pretty FUBARed, and basically told to get on with their life. This is especially apparent in reservists, who once released from activity duty status loose 90% of any help a regular enlistee might receive.
I am a Vet, and I am even hesitant to enter the VA to visit someone, and would never never place myself under their care. I know many don't have that option, and circumstance doesn't allow them to choose.
