One good reason to be against increased licensing, and yet most people believe in their right to privacy your they are willing to give up.

I feel like Paul Revere, "The socialist are coming, the socialist are coming!" Since when are private addresses subject to any open records act concerning firearm permits in which private citizens are placed in jeopardy.
I didn't read the article,but it sounds like the newest case of listing firearm owners.Most places I believe have laws preventing this from happening,but you know how the lunatic press is.A few years ago a liberal Sherriff posted pics and info of some CCW holders with some anti mumbo jumbo about their looks,and possibly they lost their license over something minor but I don't recall.Anyway,life got a little upsetting for him pretty quick.These people that pull this stuff need to be spanked like anyone else.
You're close. What Benjamin Franklin said was;
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
There are a few variations of this, but this is pretty much the extent of his quote which was originally made in 1759.
