It's really a shame that your question has hung out here for this long with no answer. I'm still learning but feel like I've learned something from experience. I don't have a Comp-Tac holster but believe that is a good choice for competition and the paddle holster can be a good choice for carry. An option that may do both for you is available from PJ Holsters OWB Belt Holster | PJ Holster LLC and when you specify the clip on option it will be easy to get it on and off your belt. (I have a PJ Holster and like it. It shipped within days of my order.) And yes, a decent belt will help. An $80 gun belt may not be required but a good, strong leather belt is needed. A wimpy dress belt will not work well.
