    which striker fired gun for IDPA

    Which one of these striker fired guns is reccommended for IDPA and why?

    Walther P99
    Steyr M-A1

    any other suggestions.

    The one you shoot the best when combining accuracy with speed.

    Also look at Glock and Springfield XD. Glock is most popular in IDPA.

    I've seen more 17s and 19s in local matches, probably just because every pistol shooter on the planet seems to have a Glock 9mm somewhere. Not sure what happens on the national level anymore, since I stopped competing some years ago.

    Glocks and M&P's are popular. Know that using an XD will take you out of production class.

    +1...that's why I use my XD45c at most shoots. Course now that Nobama is in, I expect ammo prices to go way up, I may start using my G19 more.
