      Hoping everybody's safe

Saw wildfires down near Sedonna on the news last night. Heres hoping no one on the forum is affected.

Man, around there and Oak Creek Canyon is some fantastic scenery.

Yup, that's kind of in my backyard. The fire was about 30-40 miles South East of us.

You don't BBQ in Arizona, you grill.

To BBQ requires a good pork shoulder or ribs, a good supply of oak and hickory, a brick pit, and good tomato based sauce.

And, I'll probably catch it for this, but it takes a black man for the pit man for the best BBQ. The shoulder needs to go on no later than 1:00am.

Bob, it might amaze you to find out that we actually have Oak, Mesquite, pork, brisket, ribs, bricks, tomato sauce, clocks and (gasp) as you put it Black men here in Arizona.
It must be lonesome where you are...

I don't like the way this is going, so I'm deleting my last post.

If anyone found this offensive, I truly apologize.

It will probably be awhile before we get back to Arizona. We generally locate ourselves somewhere between Ajo and Kayenta.
