Highly unlikely. If AZ is like NC, it's illegal to bring a gun into the court house, even if your intention is to check it. Play it smart and leave the gun in the car or at home.

In Florida they wouldnt even hold onto my keychain swiss army knife. I had to leave it outside in the bushes while I went to Jury summons. They sure noticed it though becuase i forgot it was there and sent it through the scanner

I got all kind of hassle about a case trapper by those guys at the metal detector.

I played dumb, and said, "I can't bring a pocket knife in here? I thought that was only at airports."

They let me check it, and pick it up when my testimony was over.

I beat them....muhahahahahahahaha

We have things relatively good here in Arizona, but there are some days when you just need to leave the gun in the car. It's a pain to have to remember not to carry into most restaurants, but I guess that is part of the price we pay to be able to carry concealed in a state run by an imbecile of a governor.

eh... I wouldn't say she's an imbicile but I'm certainly not happy with the way she's handled quite a few things.

Her and my uncle were legal buddies, of some sort, back in the day so it was kinda cool seeing her take office at first.... but.. no.. that's all faded by now.

I highly doubt they do but I figured I'd make sure. Haven't been without an arm downtown in some time... might get a twitch or someth'n.

Very cool. I'm a process server in Orlando, FL myself. It can be some of the easiest money you'll ever make if you get setup right.

They used to here in MA, but that was um, 15 years ago, last time i went to court, the caught my belt buckle and wrassled it to the ground, so, probably NO.

I have heard from local Republicans that Napolitano is a pro gun Democrat, and that she actually shoots a handgun (carried for protection) quite often. She has not always gone our way on voting, but as gun owners in a free state we get lazy. How many of you Arizonans called her prior to her veto of the CCW in restaurant veto? According to the guy I talked to, she was inundated by calls from restaurant owners.

ANYWAY back to the subject at hand, if you go to a State of Arizona building they are required by law to provide you with a lockable container for your gun. It looks like a mailbox near the front door. I don’t know how this applies to court.

I don't have enough cash or snooty sex appeal to live in Willow... I spend a lot of time there though and went to art school in the area. Being on McDowell or Roosevelt everyday is actually what changed my mind about guns... I've seen some crazy crazy things around there.

No.. I'm in the Melrose District. Kinda the hill-billy version of Willow. They don't have nearly as much say as what you can and can't do to your property... though they do have some. They want me to re-roof my garage with this crappy tile that looks like wooden shingles so it looks original to the '30s but they don't want me to use actual wooden shingles because of fire hazard. We tend to find ways around that crap with help from the politicians in our neighborhood

Yeah, Depending on how long ago or how often you were at Willow House.. we probably know each other. I spent quite a lot of time there.. guys that work(ed) there are all good friends of mine.

I'm gonna try and sleep now... so I don't fail my test.

The Spokane County Courthouse (Washington State) has a "bus terminal style" set of lockers. You can leave your concealed weapon, pocket knife, car keys, whatever in the locker & take the key. When you get back, the key goes in (and stays in the lock) and your stuff comes out. An armed guard and metal detector are right next to the lockbox facility.

A school teacher friend of the family tells about going to the courthouse and checking his .357 into the box but forgetting about his Leatherman (tm). He went through the metal detector and set off the beeper. He pulled out the knife and apologized. The guard said, "you need to box that" to which he replied, "I'm sorry for setting off your alarm; but, you do realize that if I had intended to cause problems I'd have kept the gun not the knife?" To which the guard said, "I guess so; you can keep the knife. Have a nice day."

Which compares favorably to the ex-McDonald's employee, back when the National Guard were patrolling airports post 9-11, who confiscated a Swiss Army knife from a Guardsman -- then handed back his Mace, his handcuffs, and his M-16...

I ended up finding a parking space just across the street from the building so I left her in the glove box anyway.

I kinda got the feeling that it wouldn't have mattered... security was REALLY lose.

I walked in, empty my pockets, and stepped through the metal detectors... which went off because of my belt buckle. So the guard ushered my forward, asked if anything was in my pockets and to undo my belt, and proceeded to scanned ONLY over my belt buckle.

I actually had to ask him if that was it when he waved me on. Anybody could've walked past that guy with a tomcat in a wallet holster. I wonder if I should call and say anything?


BTW.. Test went great.
